Complete Pre-Licensing Education

Start here

Begin by completing your required insurance pre-licensing education through XCEL Solutions.

Which license should I get?

For the standard EverLife onboarding path, obtain the lines of authority required for your role. Depending on the role, this may be:

  • • Life
  • • Life and Health

If unsure, confirm with EverLife leadership before purchasing/selecting courses.

Then

  1. 1Complete the required coursework.
  2. 2Study for the licensing exam.
  3. 3Continue to Step 2 once the course is completed.

Schedule and Pass the Licensing Exam

Required

Once your XCEL pre-licensing education is complete, schedule your state licensing exam.

  1. 1Return to XCEL Solutions.
  2. 2Open the State Requirements information for your state.
  3. 3Follow the exam scheduling instructions provided for your state.
  4. 4Schedule the required licensing exam.
  5. 5Take the exam on the scheduled date.
  6. 6Pass the exam.
  7. 7Save your passing score report.

Exam vendors and procedures vary by state. Always follow the instructions listed under your state’s requirements in XCEL Solutions.

Apply for Your Resident Insurance License

Required

After passing your exam, apply for your resident producer license through NIPR.

Fingerprinting

If your state requires fingerprints, complete them after submitting your application. State-specific fingerprint instructions can be found through the XCEL Solutions partner portal under State Requirements.

Look Up Your National Producer Number (NPN)

Required

After completing the licensing process, monitor NIPR for your National Producer Number.

  1. 1Select “Individual SSN” as the lookup method.
  2. 2Enter your last name and requested identifying information.
  3. 3Check daily until your NPN appears.
  4. 4Notify the EverLife onboarding team as soon as your NPN is issued.

Typical Timing

Your NPN typically appears within 24–78 hours after you pass the exam and your licensing information is processed.

Once your NPN appears, continue immediately to Step 5.

Complete the EverLife Onboarding Form

Required

Once your NPN has been issued, submit your information directly to EverLife.

  1. 1Complete and submit the EverLife onboarding form after receiving your NPN.
  2. 2Allow approximately 24–48 hours to receive your Google Workspace email.
  3. 3Your EverLife email will follow this format: firstname.lastname@tryeverlife.com
  4. 4Check spam or junk if you do not see the invitation.
  5. 5Activate the account promptly.
  6. 6The setup link expires within 24 hours.
  7. 7Watch your new EverLife inbox for contracting next-step emails.

Important

Use your EverLife email for all contracting activity.

Do not use your personal email address for carrier contracting.

Complete SureLC / Aspen Point Contracting

Required

Once you receive your EverLife email, begin carrier contracting.

  1. 1Open the SureLC / Aspen Point registration link sent to your EverLife email.
  2. 2Select “Register New Account.”
  3. 3Register using your EverLife email address — NOT your personal email.
  4. 4Watch for contracting emails.
  5. 5Click “Start Your Review” in SureLC.
  6. 6Complete each required carrier contract.
  7. 7Complete your Anti-Money Laundering certification through SureLC / SuranceBay if required.
  8. 8Respond quickly to requests for corrections, missing documents, or signatures.

Once your resident licensing and contracting process is underway, obtain the required non-resident licenses.

You’re Almost Ready to Sell

You will be considered Ready to Sell (RTS) when you have:

  • At least 10 active state licenses or appointments
  • At least 3 active carrier appointments
  • Completed all required carrier contracting and certifications
  • Received confirmation that you are active and approved to begin selling

Do Not Sell Early

Do not quote, solicit, or submit business for a carrier or state until you have confirmed that your appointment is active and you are officially Ready to Sell.
